Being a mother is one of most beautiful emotions of a woman’s life.I am pretty much sure everyone heard this statement at some point in their life.
Although this fact can’t be denied, but the thing that suffers the most is the Mother’s health especially after delivering a baby.Either moms don’t get ample time to take care of their health or they are just unaware of their unhealthy body and its consequences.
There may be countless reasons for this. Whatever it is, don’t forget that only a healthy mom can raise a healthy child.
A healthier body keeps you active and fresh all the time,which proves useful to take care of your child better. Moreover, who likes to see themselves in shapeless and unhealthy body.I am sure it doesn’t have any benefit at least
Undeniably, a woman will gain weight of around 20-30 lbs during pregnancy(& even more sometimes), and everyone knows the reason behind this.
But, what after the delivery?I feel after a couple of months of delivery(normal or C-section),every woman should think one step ahead for a better version of ‘You’ in respect of fitness and health.
Let’s discuss about myself only.To be precise,I started taking care of my body weight after 5 months of my delivery as I was indulged fully in managing both of my little kids.
Afterwards,for next 4 months, I was successful to reduce around 10 pounds with few small lifestyle changes.It was quite encouraging to me as I was not following any rigourous workout and strict diet plans that time.Moreover it was a healthy weight loss without following crash diets and unnecessary painstaking exercises.
For some,10 pounds in 4 months may not sound too much.But if you are not in haste to lose pounds and you don’t have enough time to look after your body then you are in the right place.
Let us discuss these simple habits that you can incorporate in your lifestyle easily for a healthier and active body.
1) Meal routine:
First and foremost is the time for having meals. For us, we do our breakfast before 9, lunch before 2, and dinner by 7.30.
The reason behind this is the same time difference between meals. On top of that, eating dinner early at night will give sufficient time to your body for carrying out digestion process efficiently.
2) Avoid overeating:
Whenever you eat your meal,don’t gulp too much at a time.Eat in a way that you don’t feel too heavy on stomach after finishing your meal.\

3) Physical activities :
This is the conventional fact.Just do walk/yoga (whatever suits you) for 15-20 minutes.If not everyday, at least 4 days in a week will work.Go outside for brisk walk and do follow Kapal bhati & anulom-vilom pranayam on regular basis.
4) Drink adequate water :
Try to drink adequate water.That doesn’t mean that you have to drink to no limits everyday.Just try to have sips even when you are not feeling thirsty.And your bowel movements should be regular.
5) Include some healthy bites :
Include quite a few healthy items in your food like quinoa, green tea,brown bread, lemon water, oats, salads, fruits etc. They not only help in maintaining weight but also aid in actually losing it.
These simple lifestyle habits are easy to follow and they don’t demand much time and exertion too. But try to be consistent and a bit strict with yourself.In my opinion, they are pretty much simple steps to follow.
You can continue it on long term basis without feeling exerted and boring. Just wait for at least first 3 weeks and look out for the wonders to start working in your favour.
